If you need a pied-a-terre, fully furnished and equipped, ready to move in, this is for you! This apartment is clean and quiet, convenient for a single or a couple looking to live in the middle of Yorkville. The studio has high ceilings, a dining alcove and is on a street with an upscale boutique chocolatier.

The building is postware, a small co-operative with people who mostly live in their units, and is opposite St. Stephen’s church. The apartment faces a garden (north) with a fire escape just outside. The apartment is up two flights of stairs. There is no doorman or elevator.

Flexible lease term, 6 month minimum, so please ask me about a monthly price if you want to rent it for less than six months! I am looking for a long term tenant, preferably 1 year.

The neighborhood here is becoming more and more shopper-friendly! There are many inexpensive and good places to eat on First and Second Avenues, including Kosher and vegetarian options, as well as Second Avenue BBQ joints. You can go to Carl Shurz Park in a few minutes, take a ferry on the East River all the way down to Wall Street, take a picnic to Central Park which you can access directly up East 82nd Street at Fifth Avenue in about 20 minutes and go straight to the Metropolitan Museum. If you want to travel above ground and not walk, you can go over and take the cross town buses at either 79th Street or 86th Street. East 86th Street now has a SEPHORA and a FAIRWAY market, which is one of New Yorker’s great pleasures in terms of fresh produce. If you want an authentic Irish pub, try Bailey’s Corner on 85th and York.
