Hello all,

My name is Ben, and I’m looking for a room in an apartment in Manhattan or Brooklyn.

To let you know a bit about myself, I’m 31 years old, considerate, quiet, clean, easy to get along with, non-smoker, mostly vegetarian, very friendly and independent. I enjoy meditation, yoga, nature, reading, art, photography, bike-riding, good conversation, gardening, traveling. I have been teaching kindergarten at a French-American school in San Francisco for the last 9 years, and am taking a year’s sabbatical. I moved here in June, and have been working at a Montessori school in Jersey City, tutoring children in the Upper West Side, and volunteering at a hospice in Chelsea. I would be happy to pay for a few months in advance (in addition to the deposit), if necessary.

My ideal apartment situation would be to live with one or two other people, who value communication and a home that feels warm and loved. This can be short term (a month), long term (a year+), furnished or un-. My only requirements are that the space is cigarette-smoke and cat (I love cats, but have allergies) free!

Hi my name is Matt Flamman. I am 23 years old, caucasian, and am looking for an apartment either a studio, one bedroom, or I am willing to share. A little about myself: I work as a Project Analyst at SocialFlow (social media marketing firm) in Manhattan. I work Monday through Friday 9am-6pm, so I am normally out and about. I love music, movies, beaches, working out, any board sports, concerts, riding bikes and hanging out. I normally keep it pretty low key during the week and go out on the weekends. What I am looking for in a roommate: I do not mind if once in a while you have a guest visit or have a get together here and there, I am very easy going. I am looking for a clean place without pets, a roommate who is respectable of my belongings as I am to theirs, and basically a pleasant experience for the both of us. If you smoke, I am totally cool with that, only if you smoke outside. Depending on the place and location I make think short or long term. I am free on the weekends to come check out any apartments or meet potential roommates. My plan is to move to either Manhattan or Brooklyn this November.
