Stay in a good environment. You won’t feel uncomfortable, I guarantee it. Guests have a good time. If you don’t know Manhattan, don’t be fooled, Midtown is the worst. This part of town is really happening,hip,young and fun. Not overpriced, eat, drink, party for cheap! Inexpensive, great restaurants, no cover charges at most places. Live music, lounges, sports bars, clubs,hookah bars, galleries, everything! You name it, it’s close! If you are a younger person (or not), this area is where it’s at! Feels like you’re out of the city because there are no high rise buildings near by. You’re going to love this area!

“Our room was big, we slept well. We had enough space for our enormous suitcases. Alan is a friendly host, open minded, who gave us a lot of advices how to use the subway etc, where to go and where perhaps not to go. The environment is busy, lifely, perfect for those who want to get an idea of NYC’s nightlife. We had dinner and breakfast in several restaurants in the neighbourhood, not too expensive and quite tasty.”

The location was perfect, very safe and the building was very quiet. Miriam was very timely and had already left me a voice message before my plane even landed. The apartment was just spotless and Miriam provided lots of linens, a choice of pillows to sleep in (hard or soft), local take out menues, and even a CLEARED empty desk for my laptop and paperwork (with wireless internet)which was so useful. I would HIGLY suggest you try her place. Her living room has a large screen that offers complete privacy. I felt very at home, completely private, quiet, safe and the location was great. She will chat with you if you feel chatty and she will give you complete privacy if you feel like being by yourself. We are Nathan and Rebecca Bliss. We are singer/songwriters living in New York City, and we also take care of two apartments in the East Village for short term and vacation rental. We used to live in the building, but rent was so expensive (due to the popularity of the neighborhood) we had to move to Brooklyn! You will probably notice many famous musicians and actors on our block in throughout the neighborhood!

We are very clean, have no pets, and try to provide a very peaceful, relaxing environment in a very busy, sometimes chaotic city!
 
We do ALL of the cleaning ourselves, and we are very careful to leave no surface, corner or cabinet untouched. We do all the laundry, scrub the floors, toilets, refrigerator, and pride ourselves on leaving the apartment sparkly clean after each visit. We think you’ll agree

A peaceful atmosphere pervades this beautiful one bedroom private apartment located in the heart of the East Village (East 3rd Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue). This is not a share, but your very own apartment; a place to relax and re-energize as you enjoy all that New York has to offer. Amenities include a full private bathroom and kitchen (gas range/oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and silverware), A/C, two queen beds, spacious closets, and fresh linens. There is no television in the apartment, but there’s so much to do in NYC we doubt you’ll miss it!

Surrounded by great restaurants, cool shops, music venues and attractions, the building and neighborhood are very safe, with a constant flow of foot traffic at all hours. It’s a 10 minute walk to Washington Sq. Park, the West Village, Astor Place, Union Square, Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy and the Lower East Side. Located just two blocks is the F train which will take you to Midtown/Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building and Central Park all within 15 minutes!
This classic New York style apartment with exposed brick and hardwood floors is clean and quiet but near the action- a perfect home base for exploring the city!

Rates are $160/night the rest of the year, and that includes all taxes, surcharges and fresh linens. In addition we do charge a ONE TIME $100 cleaning/utilites fee to cover costs of laundry, cleaning supplies, apartment accessories and utilities. This will help us provide you with a clean and comfortable place to stay.

The only requests we have are that you don’t smoke or cook meat in the apartment.

Check-in is anytime after 3pm, and check-out is at 11am.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:
We can offer a full refund up to two weeks before the scheduled reservation. If the reservation is canceled less than 14 days from the start date of the reservation, we cannot refund the deposit. As you may imagine, it can be very hard to fill the apartment at the last minute.
