I am a jazz pianist in my mid-twenties currently living on the Upper West Side. I am looking for a room to rent in Harlem, Washington Heights, or Inwood for around $600.00/month.

I need to have an acoustic upright piano in the apartment, so any potential roommates will have to be ok with the piano taking up space, and hearing me practice during the days/evenings. (When I’m not using it I would be happy to let others play if they wanted to.) I prefer a ground floor apartment so that the piano doesn’t disturb other neighbors as much. If apartment is not on the ground floor, the building should have an elevator because I have a keyboard and related equipment I will be taking to gigs, and don’t want to have to carry everything up and down a lot of stairs every time.

I don’t need a huge bedroom but would like something decent-sized.

I am honest and clean, pay the rent on time, like to have fun, and am pretty laid back. I am looking for roommates who share those qualities! A big plus would be someone who likes listening to jazz.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who thinks they fit this description!
