I am a 25-year-old female NYU law student looking for a shared apartment. I am hoping to find a long-term arrangement beginning the end of February (I need to be moved in before March 1st). Though I tend to clutter up my own bedroom, I am very conscientious about keeping common areas (living room, bathroom, etc) clean. I spend most of my time studying, but I wouldn’t mind if my roommates like to have friends over. I do not smoke but do not mind smokers, I am okay with a house-trained pet, and I always pay my rent on time.

I am looking for:

A private bedroom
Wifi Internet access
CLEAN bathroom
Within 10-minute walking distance to NYU School of Law (next to Washington Square Park).

Available February 3rd. Seeking quiet, mature roommate with regular day job to share my sunny old-fashioned large one-bedroom apartment on high floor in pre-war building on Washington Square Park, right in the heart of Greenwich Village.

This is a class A, fire-proof building, with 24/7 doorman and elevators. Extremely convenient to all transportation, Can be perfect pied-a-terre for an out-of-towner.

You would occupy the generous-size bedroom, which is 11 x 16.5 feet. The bedroom is furnished,and separated from the other half of the apartment, which makes it quite private. The bedroom has has great light from two huge 3 x 6 ft windows, both facing south with stunning partial view of the Washington Square Park and beyond to the Hudson River. The high floor guarantees plenty of fresh air. The room also has a large closet.

I occupy the living room. I am an established male classical composer, writer and lecturer. Although often home studying quietly, as journalist I’m out 3-5 evenings a week. I rarely have friends over, preferring to keep socializing outside, and to preserve the privacy of the apartment as a refuge.

The kitchen is small but efficient, and there is a small dining alcove. The apartment has one very large old-fashioned bathroom, also with its own 3×6 window, and is accessed through the bedroom. In between the bathroom and bedroom is a small dressing space closed off with its own doors and 3×6 window. In my experience, with courtesy and consideration, sharing this apartment is quite comfortable.

You would pay $1280/month, plus half of gas/electric/wi-fi charges.

Similar apartments in this building are renting for almost double the rent of this apartment.

For one person only, no couples. No smoking, drugs or pets. Longer term preferred.
