I’m looking for a roommate to move in ASAP or May 1st. Although a long term roommate would be ideal (lease is up in August with option to renew), I am also open to more short term scenarios (i.e. a single or few months). The room is quite large with a large closet. It comes furnished but the furniture can be removed. The 2 bdr apartment is also quite sizeable with a full sized kitchen, bathroom, and living room. 4th floor walk-up in a pre-war building and it’s in a really fantastic neighborhood (UWS, 80’s). Quiet at night but lots of restaurants and bars nearby and very conveniently located to the subway (2 blocks to the 1 train, a few more to the 2/3/B/C). The rent is $1395 per month plus utilities which are shared (about $55 a month for electricity and internet). Included in the rent is regular housekeeping service for the shared areas. First month’s rent and equivalent security deposit required for move in.

About me: I am a mature 23 yr old gay male student studying fashion design. I don’t smoke or do drugs, responsible, and respectful and am looking for the same. I don’t really have many guests over or ever have parties and generally like to keep my personal quarters / home very private and peaceful. Aside from fashion, I also love food (I cook a lot. the apt has a very large kitchen by nyc standards!), traveling, and I am a huge fan of the arts. I love the ballet and am also often at the opera. I am generally quite the night owl, and I am currently working on my graduating thesis which means I come home late and stay up very late.
