Alan

“Alan’s place is great, we really enjoyed our stay. He is a very friendly host and does a good job of making you feel welcome. We stayed two nights in a comfortable bed in a room with plenty of space, and the bathroom was clean and newer. I forgot my towel but Alan already had some available. The kitchen was at our disposal but we didn’t make much use since our stay was so short. His apartment is perfect for a stay in NYC but what puts it over the top is the location in East Village. The F and V trains are a few blocks away and there are A LOT of bars, restaurants, and lounges within walking distance. You won’t be disappointed in your stay here.”

“Staying with Alan was as easy as slipping into my own bed at home. Contact, arrival, and accommodation were all a breeze with Alan’s quick responses and pleasant demeanor. The great location, perfect host, and the clean cozy natured apartment made our stay wonderful. Looking forward to seeing you again Alan”

“Reasons to Stay at Alan’s: 1) The East Village is an awesome home base. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe, you’re close to transportation and so.much.delicious.food. 2) The view from the roof is incredible. 3) Alan is an accommodating host and offers towels, advice on transportation and restaurants, and generally likes to make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome.”

PostHeaderIcon 800-1200 Starting Mid August Harlem Morningside 1200

I am looking to find and confirm a place this week. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks…

Hello craiglisters,

My girlfriend and I are moving to New York so I want to sublet a place
for a month while we apartment hunt. We are both responsible, college
grads that are clean, normal people. I figured I would like to spend a little under a
month looking for the perfect place to live so subletting would be
perfect (I’ve done it before).

The details:

• Second week of August through the second week of September. Exact
dates negotiable. (2.5 weeks min, 4 max)

• Price range negotiable. I’ve seen places sublet for between $800 and $1200.

• Harlem/ Morningside. Preferably Central Harlem below 130th.

• Any of these accommodations is fine: Studio, 1BR, or shared (private
room, of course, in an apartment with multiple rooms).

All we need is a clean room for about 4 weeks until we find our
permanent place. (MUST HAVE wifi, furnished with a mattress,
stove, and refrigerator….the norms) Hopefully you are cool and when we
get settled we’ll invite you over for food and drinks.
